I was born in 1962 in Bulawayo a small town in Zimbabwe.

My parents were nature lovers and we visited game reserves on the weekends. They also built their own home set amongst giant granite rocks in suburb called Hillside.

I was encouraged to be creative and found drawing and painting to be my meditative space.

We moved to South Africa when I was thirteen and when I finished school I went on to study Fine Art.

After completing my degree I needed to make an income and worked as a designer for a few years before opening up my own design studio.

Years of commercial design and lack of time had interrupted my passion for drawing and painting. My love for photography had evolved and I never went far without a camera in my hand.
